TRENTHAM FALLS

Formed from molten lava rapidly cooling as it flowed some five million years ago along the old Coliban River valley, the Trentham Falls, Victoria's highest single drop waterfall, plunges 32 m. over basalt columns. At the base of the Falls quartz gravel, the former river bed, can be seen. The Falls reserve has one of the best remnants of original vegetation in the area. Picnic tables, fireplaces and toilets cater for visitors.
